I notice that now, my wireless network does not connect (acquiring connection indefinitely) unless I either repair the connection, or unplug and replug the adapter into the USB port. After finishing I ran MSSE and came up with nothing, so I booted into safe mode and reran SAS and MBAM with no new hits. Well, after no results, I ran a Super Anti Spyware scan and voila I had some infected files. I chose this route because my hard drive is dangerously full and I am about to swap it out and therefore thought maybe this was a result of that.
This included verifying that the updates were on as well as re-registering certain files. After closing the two message boxes, I tried first to repair the window update service as it seemed to be a common problem for others with the same problem. Also I got a Generic host process error as well. The instruction at "0x765ecc5a" referenced memory at "0x00000058". I booted up yesterday and got a svchost error:
I have no idea how, but I have been infected.
